Podcast 23 Is Here!

Here's the latest podcast featuring all kinds of fun stuff! As I stated a while back, my schedule has become sooooo intensely busy that I have very little time to devote to the World of Wonder yet the podcasts are something that I can work on little by little so I will continue to do these. Thus these newer podcasts have a bit of a different feel to them. And also as I stated, they are pretty much straight forward audio clips, comedy and music without any dialogue from me. I just don't have the time. That being said, this podcast is really cool! Featuring songs from Cheap Trick, Carol King, Jame Minoudis (a friend and fellow Creamed Corn member), 'Til Tuesday (recently remastered and sounding amazing), Bill Cosby, T. Rex, Nirvana, Frank Zappa, John Travolta, Tom Jones and Jack White. With some comedy from Lawanda Page, Don Adams, Avery and Schrieber, and some cool mash-ups featuring Johnny Cash, ABBA, Van Halen and a really special performance from Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork from the Davy Jones Memorial Concert in NYC. And so much more! There's a lot packed into this one. Enjoy!

We Interrupt This Advent Calendar To Bring You . . .

Just a reminder that Creamed Corn's classic Christmas album, "Santa Loves You" is up at I-Tunes. Originally released in 1998, this confection of rockabilly and comedy/novelty weirdness became an Internet cult hit. Dr. Demento featured two tracks on his 2000 Christmas show. But now, years later, "Santa Loves You" has been passed around so many times, it's hard to know what quality you'd be getting if you just downloaded this off a random blog. So, a few years back, we decided the time was right to re-master and re-release this time honored classic. If you have it, thanks. If not, head over to I-Tunes and grab it. You'll be thankful you did!

PS -It's also up at Amazon, Napster and E-Music as well!

Tricks & Treats 09: Halloween Corn

Those of you who have been fans of the blog for many a year know that I am a member of the band, Creamed Corn. For internet junkies in the know, we had a huge hit with a Christmas album we put out about 11 years ago. Last year saw the remaster of that album being released to an overwhelming response! While the Christmas stuff has become the most famous of our albums, we also released a Halloween album the same year we released the Christmas album. It was our first release and we went hog wild with it! First of all, we called it "Satan Loves You". Next, we spent many a night in our studio recording all different sound effects and "sound scapes" that feature everything from chains being dropped into a bucket to all of us chewing gum directly into a microphone. We took a huge mix of material from songs written specifically for the album to songs that had been in our live act from the start. One of the tracks, "Drunken Stupor", goes down in history for being the reason we were asked to never play a club in Madison, CT again! The recording on the album is from that night! Anyway, here it is for you now. Direct from 1998, Creamed Corn and "Satan Loves You". Enjoy!

December Is Upon Us!

It's December 1 which means the Christmas season is here! Being on the road, I don't have access to all of my Christmas goodies so unfortunately I won't be able to give another "25 Posts of Christmas" like I did last year. But don't worry, I still have lots of fun Christmas stuff to post and send your way (including this year's Christmas Mixes)! We start off the month of December with an announcement about Creamed Corn. For those of you who don't know, Creamed Corn is a band that I have been in for the past 12 years. We are basically a group of friends that grew up together that like to have fun and play music. 10 years ago, we released a Christmas album entitled "Santa Loves You". Before we knew it, several tracks off the album became giant hits on the Internet and the album became a holiday cult classic. We were featured on several Internet radio shows as well as The Doctor Demento Show! Over the past ten years, the album has continued to pop up all over the Internet in various qualities and forms. Since the release of the original, we released a sequel, "Santa Loves You Too" and several different compilations of the two, the most recent being "Christmas Hits", which featured a very cool bonus track. This year is the 10th anniversary and we re-released the album on-line. By now, most of you probably have the original but this re-release is completely remastered and sounds amazing! I personally oversaw the remastering process and made sure that it was up to par. The result is a fuller, richer and bigger sound. This is the Corn's way of saying thanks to the Internet community for all that they did when the original was first released. You can download it at following sites:

I-Tunes

Amazon

E-Music

So head on over and grab your copy of Creamed Corn's "Santa Loves You, 10th Anniversary Edition". You not only get the original album, but you also get a few tracks from Santa Loves You Too and the super secret bonus track from Christmas Hits! Thanks!
