The Best of The World of Wonder: Come In Zebra 3

I love Starsy and Hutch and own the entire seires on DVD. Watching the shows brings back fond memories of Saturday nights when I was young. A regular Saturday night was going to Church followed by dinner at McDonalds, Burger King or Roy Rogers and then off to my aunt and uncle's where my dad, uncle, cousin and grandfather would sit in the living room watching television while my mom, sister, aunt and grandmother hung out in the kitchen. I couldn't tell you what the conversations in the kitchen were, but I knew the ABC Saturday night line-up very well. Starsky and Hutch at 8, The Love Boat at 9 (that always seemed like a two hour show for some reason) and Fantasy Island at 10. My dad loved Starsky and Hutch just as much as I did and even owned two of David Soul's albums, which I am proud to have inherited. Watching the shows now brings mixed feelings. It makes me sad to watch them without him, but it also reminds me of the great times we had watching them together. Today's post is for my dad. It's David Soul (Hutch) singing his heart out on his first album, "David Soul".

September of Soundtracks: Enter Detectives Starsky and Hutchinson

Don't go getting your knickers in a twist and think that I am bringing you the soundtrack to the movie version of "Starsky and Hutch". Quite frankly, I could care less about that film. No, today I bring you the soundtrack to the original television series from the 70s. I don't remember where I got this. It must have been a while ago. It was on a data disc with a whole bunch of soundtracks on it and it was simply labeled "S&H". I am not sure if the music is from one specific episode of the series or is a collection of music from the show. There is one song entitled, "A Coffin For Starsky" which was the title of an episode so if this is from one specific episode, it would probably be that one. If there is anyone who knows for sure, let me know. Regardless, it still kicks major booty. Here it is for you now. Enjoy!

More Fun With Ken and David

Continuing with more Starsky and Hutch goodies, I bring you a blooper reel from the series. This is not the blooper segment that is included as a bonus feature on the Season One DVD Box Set. This is actually an old blooper reel that the producers made for the show to give out to various sponsors and other big shots. This used to be a tradition in the TV world. When the video revolution hit, these "gag" reels found their way into the hands of various collectors. And, as with most bootleg material, was copied and copied and copied and copied thus providing several different generations of the original footage. I have no idea what generation this is but I do know that it is not the first. But none-the-less, it is worth seeing. One last note - this is not family fare!
