This is so cool...I dated a fellow who was one of the producer/directors of the 1st Star Trek series. (I know, this dates me...but he was older then me! :) and since I heard that Shatner was hard to work with I asked him about it and he said he doesn't remember that at all. He said he was a nice guy....I taught in a private school in Hollywood and met others that you might be interested in too...
